Our new venue is
THE COMMUNITY CHURCH, WERTER ROAD, PUTNEY SW15 2LL
For over 50 years (from 1973, when the Society was formed) our lecture venue was the Dryburgh Hall, Putney Leisure Centre, Dryburgh Road, Putney, London SW15 1BL. However, in an era of hybrid lectures the Leisure Centre was no longer able to meet our needs.
Our new venue has its own PA system and we have the help of an AV expert who is experienced in transmitting meetings and events live on Zoom.
Time
Second Monday of the month (except April and August). Lectures start at 8:00 pm
Doors open at 7:30 pm (unless the lecture is to be preceded by either the Summer party in July, the AGM in November or the Christmas party in December.) PLEASE CHECK THE HOME PAGE FOR ANY CHANGES.
Refreshments are available in return for a donation and members often take the opportunity to socialise. Information is also available, at the meetings, about volunteering opportunities, tours and visits.
Getting There
There is free street parking in Werter Road after 6:30 pm but, as a concession, it is also possible to park in the Sainsbury's car park opposite the venue. Members will be advised about how to register for this.
All buses along Putney High Street stop nearby and Putney Railway Station is a 5 minute walk away.
